What is it?

MiDAS is the gold standard training scheme for minibus drivers in the Community Transport Sector and beyond, ensuring that minibus drivers are able to provide safe, legal and comfortable journeys.

Who is it for?

MiDAS is suitable for anyone who is required to drive a minibus as part of their role. That might be a volunteer who drives occasionally for a local community group or a paid driver working full time. Though it’s not mandatory to have MiDAS training to drive a minibus, it is highly recommended if the bus is being used on behalf of a school, day centre, organisation, etc. The training provides information and essential training in safety and awareness.

How to book your course

Step 1

CTWF is a registered MiDAS provider who will arrange access to the Online training portal to complete Standard MiDAS Theory Course. The theory assessment at the end of the online course must be passed before the practical sessions take place. This is mandatory. You do not have an option to take your practical session before passing your theory assessment.

Step 2

Individual Practical Sessions and Driving assessment slots are available one per month throughout the year. On completion of the online session please discuss requirements with us so we can book you onto the practical element. This session will be completed on a 1 to 1 basis and should last up to 90 minutes per driver.

Step 3

If you pass, you will be issued with a certificate which you will be able to access online. You will continue to have access to the online system so you can revisit the content anytime and will receive notifications if there are any significant updates you should be aware of.
