Door to Store Shopping Service

Are you or is someone close to you unable to grocery shop as before? Is public transport no longer an option or has the cost of taxi hire become prohibitive? Residents of Waltham Forest (the elderly and disabled) can pay £4 for a return trip to the supermarket with collection and return from/to their door by registering with our Door to Store Service.

Door to Store Shopping Service is run by Community Transport Waltham Forest and operates Tuesday to Thursday every week. Service users are collected directly from their home and taken to the supermarket of their choice (see timetable below).

Our vehicles are fully accessible and can accommodate users with wheelchairs, small scooters and other mobility aids; this customised service is available for a fee of £4 return with Carers eligible to travel for FREE.

We are able to provide volunteer support to those individuals requiring help in the Supermarket but only on selection of products and pushing trolleys, we are not able to take responsibility for payment of groceries or provide personal care.

Door to Store Service is divided by location into three areas, Walthamstow, Chingford, Leyton/Leytonstone and members book based on the area that matches their address.
