Our fleet
We run a mixed fleet of standard and accessible minibuses with seating capacity of up to 17 seats. The accessible vehicles are equipped with passenger lifts and can be used to transport wheelchairs in vehicles. Seating on the minibuses can be altered to best meet the needs of the hirer.
The vehicles have fully comprehensive insurance cover, 24 hour emergency vehicle/ passenger recovery service and a fuel card system which enables users to refuel at most service stations. The vehicles undergo rigorous 60 day checks to ensure they are maintained to the highest standard. Our vehicles are available 24 hours per day 364 days a year.
Charges for Use
Vehicles are used by member organisations at the following rates:
Up to 4 hours £22 thereafter £3 per hour up to 23 hours
24 hours £60 for first 24 hrs thereafter £50 per day for any additional days
Mileage charge: 75p per mile for first 100 miles then 58p per mile for additional mileage
(Discounted mileage rate applied only to mileages exceeding 100 miles per session)
Driver charge (optional): £13 per hour
Making a booking
First ensure that you have a valid annual subscription to Community Transport Waltham Forest; unfortunately, no bookings can be processed from non members.
When making a booking, you will need the following information:
- date of trip
- pick up and drop off times
- intended destination
- driver name and confirmation that he/ she has a valid MiDAS certificate
- if a CTWF driver is required or not
- number of passengers
- any special requirements, e.g. fixed wheelchairs
Please note that we do not carry more than 3 fixed wheelchairs per vehicle.
